Let's take a trip down memory lane and look back at Bethany & Jeff's 2020 private home micro-wedding! Bethany and Jeff wanted a big, fun party, where their guests felt important and welcomed and felt strongly that they incorporate thoughtful details. Even though COVID changed their plans, the emphasis on guest experience and having the event be a reflection of their relationship did not. Their stunning florals by Leslie of Leslie Lee Floral Design stole the show at their ceremony and under their intimate Sperry Tents. The rentals from True North Event Rentals added the perfect touch of home with the farm tables and willowware inspired china, a nod to Bethany’s grandmother. Andrej from Cape Cod Private Dinners worked with Bethany and Jeff to create a customized menu for their guest list of 18. And due to COVID, they decided to treat their guests to customized masks from Modern Vintage and hand sanitizer from Truro Vineyards. A true sign of a 2020 wedding! Lynne Reznick captured the day in stills and Harborview Studios was there to capture the memories in motion. Vendors

Let's take a look back at Elizabeth & Alex's gorgeous 2017 wedding at a private home in Yarmouth! Elizabeth & Alex (or El & Al) hosted 160 of their family and friends at a property along Bass River in the summer of 2017. The couple had a lot to juggle in 2017, including moving across the country, but they made the time to plan their bright, fun, laid back yet wonderfully romantic wedding day with Stephanie’s help along the way! The wedding venue had a rustic Cape feel with grey shingles, antique furnishings, vine wrapped structures and hundred year old moss covered trees. Elizabeth & Alex chose handmade tables, bars and crossback chairs from True North to sit below their airy Sperry Tent. For a fun twist for their July wedding, they chose the blue star tent for their bar area! To brighten up the spaces, Elizabeth & Alex picked bold summer florals expertly arranged by Flowers by Semia. They filled their day with sentimental touches like using the antique fountain in the garden for their ceremony arbor, using mix and match furniture from the house for their ceremony seating and having both of their fathers officiate their wedding! Tent - Sperry Tent Rentals - True North Florals - Flowers by Semia Photographer - Janet Moscarello Photography Today we're looking back at Carly & Jon's 2017 wedding at Wychmere Beach Club! Carly & Jon celebrated their wedding back in July of 2017 at Wychmere, one of our favorite locations on the Cape! Their wedding was filled with pops of red, which was inspired by the red dress that Carly wore to her engagement shoot. We love a pop of color and red was a really fun, bright color to use in July! With over the top florals from Winstons, which included a pop of red on the tables, and the custom monogrammed napkins, this wedding was filled with beautiful details. In the Harbor Room at Wychmere, Carly & Jon decided to have a long head table with white crossback chairs from True North and also brought in other special rentals from Peak Event Services like chargers and glassware. Florals - Winstons Table & chairs rentals - True North Other rentals - Peak Event Services Today we're revisiting Caroline & Teddy's wedding at Highfield Hall in 2015! Set at the historic Highfield Hall in Falmouth, this wedding was filled with greens. From the scenery at their venue to the bridesmaids dresses and the beautiful florals from Designers Touch - even the trolley from Cape Destinations was green! Caroline and her mom worked together to pull together beautiful touches - we loved the potted plans on the tables that the guests were able to take home that evening. And as a surprise, Caroline's mom had us place a scratch ticket with a penny at every guest's seat! Kate Murphy captured the day perfectly! Especially the surprise guest at end of the event! Venue - Highfield Hall Florals - Designers Touch Trolley - Cape Destination Photographer - Kate Murphy In case you missed it - one of our super fun, DIY weddings was featured on Every Last Detail last week! I love Lauren Grove and her team and was so thankful that she saw the beauty and originality in this event to include it on her beautiful website. Carin and Billy were such wonderful people, I was honored to be a part of their special Monday wedding at a private home in Harwich.
Check out the post for the details and a ton of fabulous pics from Channing Johnson! Working with Judy & Ben was so much fun! I knew that when I first met them in my office at the beginning of the year that we were going to have fun when Judy pulled out her adorable mini idea book with fabulous travel inspired ideas in navy and pink!
The event was beautiful, with absolutely every aspect planned by the bride, all I had to do was execute her vision. From the cafe lights over the deck and pink candy bar to the luggage tag escort cards in suit cases and post card guest book, she did not miss a beat. If Judy was not a nurse I would be afraid she would steal my day job! For vendors they worked with some new people that I was fortunate enough to get to work with for the first time. He photographer was Grace Kim, from Washington state if I remember correctly, and her hair and make-up was done by Charlotte Phinney from Boston. Her flowers were beautiful and done by The Tangled Web, a new florist from Pembroke who was great to work with as well! And the over all event was held at the Beach House Grill atChatham Bars Inn - my old stomping grounds! ![]() I have been so fortunate over the past 5 years to have awesome referrals from some fabulous couples. By just working with one couple - Kim & Chris - in 2009, I have now worked with two of their friends and most recently, Chris' brother Geoff. It is so fun to attend the weddings and see so many familiar faces!! Anna & Geoff and their families were so much fun to work with. They had a picture perfect day - maybe a bit on the warm side - for their ceremony and reception at theWychmere Harbor Club in Harwich. I was joined with Matt & Enna from Grazier Photography - what a wonderful couple they were to work with! Check out their blog post here (much better photos than mine)- and Bella's Blooms for the elegant flowers. Murray Hill Talent provided their band Unity for the entertainment for the evening and Cape Destinations provided safe transportation to and from the club for guests. They also changed up the traditional wedding cake and had pies brought in from Marion's Pie Shop - Yum! I have my fingers crossed that they all know more couples that need a wedding planner - because I love seeing this crew almost every year! Jana & Brooks were a fabulous couple looking to get married on Cape Cod in July with their closest friends and family - and one of my most favorite locations on the Cape for an intimate ceremony and reception is the Boat House at Chatham Bars Inn.
They had their ceremony on the edge of the sand on a beautiful clear day. Tom Davis was there to shoot photos (check out his photos here), Designers Touch provided the stunning flowers and Rentals Unlimited delivered all of the chairs and linens. They even rented a serpentine kids table with buckets we put together for each child attending. We also arranged the Chatham Bars Inn activities staff to come and take the kids on a scavenger hunt around the beach so the adults could enjoy their clam bake dinner. Vanessa and Brok are a fabulous couple from Minneapolis looking to get married on the Cape in an intimate setting with just immediate family. The big blow out reception would take place weeks later in Minneapolis.
They decided that the beach in front of the Ocean House in Dennis would be a perfect setting with dinner to follow with 30 of their closest family and those who could not make the trip out west. It was a perfect day - minus a bit of wind - and Judy from All About Flowers put together a beautiful location for their beach ceremony as well as bright yellow flowers for the bride and her cake! Chris Cook joined me to take photos of the couple and then followed them to Chapin Beach after dinner for sunset photos on the beach. Nikita & Laura came to me in December looking for someone to be there the day of their event to make sure everything went smoothly. I am so glad they decided to work with me because their event was beautiful!
With specialty linens from Rentals Unlimited, gorgeous flowers from a family friend who flew in from Texas and put them together in their hotel room(!) and the unique setting of the Cape Cod Museum of Art - it was a picture perfect day. The photos I captured below from my iPhone do not even do the trick as Julia Cumes was there and captured the whole event from the vows to the beach and the African dancing! |
